A National Public Health Agenda for Osteoarthritis
There is an urgent need for action to reduce the burden of OA.
The Osteoarthritis Action Alliance, Arthritis Foundation, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have developed A National Public Health Agenda for Osteoarthritis: 2020 Update to address the high prevalence of osteoarthritis (OA) and its rising health impact and growing economic consequences. The 2020 Update continues to be guided by the vision, goals, and guiding principles set forth in the 2010 Agenda, but is focused on current public health practices.
Act NOW! with specific and practical steps critical for effecting change.
For each sector below, you will find an action brief with information about OA, and relevant compelling data to make the case for Why OA Matters to your constituents. The briefs also include action steps and vetted online tools, guidelines, videos, and other resources for you to use.
