About the Speaker:
Carmin Roldan was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala and immigrated to California as a teenager. She earned a BA in Economics from the University of California at Irvine and did graduate work in education and Biblical studies. She had the opportunity to teach in California’s public and private schools for sixteen years. She moved to NC in 2012 and then worked for Wake County Schools for three years as a Spanish/English interpreter. She has been working with and for non-profit organizations focused on serving the educational, social, and health needs of underserved populations since 2016. For the last two years, she has had the honor of working with the OAAA as a cross-cultural consultant..
