Kim Bennell, PhD – The patient will see you now: Managing OA as a chronic disease

Kim Bennell is a PhD-qualified research physiotherapist and holds the position of Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor and NHMRC Principal Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Australia. She is Director of the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine, a multidisciplinary research Centre as well as Director of the Centre for Research Excellence in Translational Research in Musculoskeletal Pain. Kim’s research has focused on conservative management of osteoarthritis and her work has influenced clinical guidelines and practice. She has published over 350 peer-reviewed publications including clinical trials in journals including JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine and BMJ. She is currently Secretary General of the Osteoarthritis Research Society International.
