Carole Dodge, OTRL, CHT – Upper Extremity OA

Carole Dodge, OTRL, CHT, is a clinical specialist and supervisor of the occupational therapy hand therapy program at the Michigan Medicine. She received her credential as a certified hand therapist in 2007, and her Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from Boston University in 1979. Areas of specialty include rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, scleroderma, joint replacements, and traumatic hand injuries. She is currently participating in an ACR project to develop a guideline for the Pharmacologic and Non-Pharmacologic Management of Osteoarthritis of the Hand Hip and Knee as a member of the voting panel. Current job responsibilities include direct patient care, staff supervision, collaboration in interdisciplinary research, directorship of the Michigan Medicine hand fellowship program, teaching and mentoring of hand fellows, and quality improvement in regard to documentation and compliance to Medicare regulations.
