This mini-grant initiative is for community entities to strategically leverage collaborations, existing resources, and current programmatic efforts in order to expand the dissemination and delivery of the Arthritis Foundation’s Walk With Ease (WWE), a community-based physical activity program. Through this mini-grant program, the OAAA is extending the reach of WWE to communities across the United States that will embed the delivery of the programs, develop models for sustainability and ongoing funding and, thus increase the number of people with arthritis who can benefit from engaging in effective physical activity programs. Awardees are expanding dissemination and delivery of Walk With Ease through innovative programming that reaches a diverse audience. WWE is among several arthritis-appropriate, evidence-based (AAEBI) programs recommended by CDC.
