Arthritis Podcasts on the Move

The popularity of podcasts continues to rise. For the unfamiliar, a podcast is a series of audio discussions, led by one or more recurring hosts about a particular topic or current event, which can be downloaded to a personal device for easy listening. With 1 in 4 (or 54.4 million) US adults having some form of arthritis, the popularity of podcasts on chronic pain-related topics, such as osteoarthritis (OA), is also rising. The OA Action Alliance regularly participates in podcasts to help elevate OA as a national health priority and promote arthritis-appropriate, evidence-based interventions for the prevention, management, and treatment of OA. If you are looking to listen to a new podcast on arthritis, here are three great options:

Live Yes! with ArthritisLive Yes! with Arthritis: The Arthritis Foundation’s podcast regularly interviews experts on topics that matter the most to people with arthritis – everything from eating right, staying fit, diet/nutrition, mindfulness, the latest treatments, relationships, and much more.

The Health Disparities PodcastThe Health Disparities PodcastMovement is Life’s podcast highlights disparities evidenced in common chronic conditions, including arthritis, with emphasis on disparities and how the social determinants of health impact these conditions and their management.

Joint ActionJoint Action: Rheumatology clinician researcher and Professor of Medicine at University of Sydney, David Hunter, interviews the world’s leading experts in OA. Dr. Hunter has been ranked as the worlds leading expert in OA on since 2014.

We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.
