Dr. Leigh Callahan Voted President-Elect of the U.S. Bone and Joint Initiative

Dr. Leigh Callahan, who is Associate Director of the UNC Thurston Arthritis Research Center and National Director of the Osteoarthritis Action Alliance, has been a vital part of USBJI for two decades. She represented both the Rheumatology Research Foundation and the Arthritis Foundation on their board, served as Treasurer from 2010-2012, and has served on numerous committees and task forces including the Burden of Musculoskeletal Diseases and the Chronic OA Management Initiative. Dr. Callahan is looking forward to working collaboratively with USBJI members to improve the prevention of bone and joint disorders, and improve the quality of life for those who are affected.
