The Osteoarthritis Action Alliance is hosting a webinar about the Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease (WWE) program, an approved evidence-based program included in the recent funding opportunity announcement released by the Administration on Community Living, The 2019 Empowering Older Adults and Adults with Disabilities through Chronic Disease Self-Management Education Programs Financed by the Prevention and Public Health Fund HHS-2019-ACL-AOA-CSSG-0311. In addition to the requirement of offering CDSME programs, applicants may also propose secondary self-management support programs such as WWE.
This one-hour webinar will cover:
- making the case for serving adults with arthritis that can be used as part of your rationale;
- the aims, content and structure of the WWE
- the extensive web-based resources to support WWE marketing and implementation that are available at the OAAA website
- Q & A.
An audio recording of webinar and the presentation slides will be archived and made available after the webinar. Even if you are not planning to submit a proposal to ACL, this webinar can provide you with a helpful foundation of knowledge about Walk With Ease. It might be a great fit for your organization!
